ENITEH - MODULAR BIOMASS COGENERATION PLANT
is based on the classical gas - turbine process shown in diagram below. The classical gas - turbine process is following: ambient air is compressed by air compressor (P1, t1 >>> P2, t2`) heated up in heat exchanger - REGENERATOR by heat available in exhaust gas of the turbine (t2` >>> t2``) then introduced in the combustion chamber where it combusts with fuel (oil or gas) releasing combustion gas (t2`` >>> t3). Combustion gas is going into the gas turbine where they expand (P3, t3 >>> Pit, t4`) and release mechanical energy for driving the compressor and electric generator - producing electric energy.After leaving the turbine exhaust gas are cooled down in the REGENERATOR (t4` >>> t4``) by heating the compressed air from the compressor which saves fuel and increases overall efficiency.

The main difference between the classical gas - turbine process and biomass firing gas turbine it is necessary to introduce additional equipment for combustion of biomass whose thermal energy is directly or indirectly introduced into the turbine. For direct introduction of thermal energy (biomass fuel) - the classical combustion chamber is modified to accommodate additional furnace in which biomass is used as a fuel, even filtered combustion gas has a small amount of ash which builds up on the turbine blades and corrodes them which can cause out of balance and destruction of the turbine.In order to avoid the downfall of the direct method - ENITEH - BIOMASS COGENERATION PLANT uses INDIRECT SYSTEM OF INTRODUCING THERMAL BIOMASS ENERGY. It uses the thermal energy from biomass in order to heat air by heat exchanger before entering the turbine which secures that the turbine works with clean air and creates ideal working conditions of the gas turbine without the danger of flying particles.

Because in this case gas turbine operating is not in function of fuel charactersistics - implementation adequate combustion system of air heater -ENITEH SYSTEM can be used for any other fuel (coal and waste oil and gas fuels). Further more air as a media for hot air gas turbines does not have any cost related to optioning and/or conditioning of a working fluid (raw water treatment or thermal oil replacement) and does not use any water. ENITEH SYSTEM also has other preference to classic cogeneration systems ( better electric efficiency and higher temperature exhaust medium from turbine and more lower invest cost of cogeneration plant). - see diagram.
